public commission by the City of Toulouse on the site of the disaster - 2012 - in collaboration with Labau (Belgium) / stainless steel - polycarbonate - porous concrete - piezoelectric speakers - red and white LEDs - microcontrollers - wiring - generative program - photovoltaic energy compensation on a nearby rooftop / 397 stainless steel tubes, 60 mm in diameter - total penetrable diameter 13.40 m - total platform diameter 30 m - distance between each tube 60 cm - minimum height 50 cm at the center and maximum 4 m on the outer circle

 

Penetrable, optical, and digital artwork with moiré patterns activated remotely by the visitor’s movement from distance, and generative programming within each pillar, using sound (during the day) and light (red and/or white at night).
