This work was created as part of a micro-festival, during la Fête des Lumières (first ‘’polychromatic’’ Festival of Lights created in France before unfortunately spreading worldwide) in the streets around the Roger Tator Gallery in Lyon. The series of self-portraits of lamps was enriched with this new version, using a different lamp than the one initially used for the first creation in 2004. Each work in the Superflux Lightbox was to be placed inside a 2-meter cubic wood shipping container. For mine, I decided to remove the back and the front and to replace the back with a rear-projection screen, allowing the work to be seen from both the inside and outside of the container.
